Hello January!
Along with the new year came my newly designed wedding photography website (yippee!) and a promise to myself to take more photos of family, friends and my ramblings as I progress through this year. This journal will help (I think) and so will my brand new camera that my lovely husband bought me for Christmas. My professional cameras are too big and bulky to take down by the river or on holiday so I opted for a really cool #Nikon Zfc. I love its retro design.
So off into 2024 I go........
Redesigning my website was great for the start of the year as it made me look back at previous weddings and choose some really lovely images. I don't get a lot of time to look back so it really was a joy.
Every year in January I attend the #ThornhurstManor wedding fair. I don't do many wedding fairs because most of my wedding photography work comes from word of mouth. I love the #ThornhurstManor wedding fair because I love the suppliers that attend and the staff at Thornhurst are just so lovely. I do several weddings there each year and always have a blast. I spoke to so many lovely couples just starting out on their wedding planning journey and have taken a ton of bookings right through to 2026! Here are a few quick pics I caught of the wedding fair - shout out to some of the lovely suppliers I met.
To start the year off well I have joined my old swimming team. I was a swimmer in my teens but haven't done much since then so getting back into the pool complete with swim cap and goggles has been a shock to the system to say the least. I have also been taking Roo (my beautiful Spanish Water dog) on some lovely long walks. My sons are back to football, gymnastics and swimming which always makes finding time for myself pretty difficult but I am determined this year to be better at it.
